Deaf Culture Awareness Weekend at Seneca Park Zoo

October 3rd, 2026: Celebrate Deaf Culture Awareness Day at Seneca Park Zoo — a day dedicated to inclusivity, connection, and the vibrant Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

In partnership with Rochester School for the Deaf and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, this annual event invites guests of all ages to explore the Zoo while engaging with Deaf culture through interactive experiences, educational opportunities, and accessible programming. ASL interpreters will be on site throughout the day, and many Zoo talks and demonstrations will include interpretation to ensure everyone can fully participate and enjoy their visit.
