Children will explore Nature & STEM opportunities in a Hands-On, Play-Based, Interdisciplinary program that includes *Early Literacy, *Creative Arts, *Wellness, and *Cooperative Problem-Solving. Children will Imagine, Create, & Thrive in a Nurturing, Developmentally-Appropriate program that supports their Physical, Social, Emotional, & Cognitive Curiosities, Needs, & Abilities.
Student interests will inspire In-Depth Projects!
Our focus is on *Nature Awareness* & we will Play Outside Most of our Day, except in extreme weather. Our large, fenced-in Outdoor PLAYSCAPE has areas for Gardening, Composting, and Exploring in our Muddy Kitchen, Dolo-Mitey Quarry, Dino Den, Moon Mesa, Lazy (dry!) Creek, Fairy Garden, & Nature Nursery. Coming Labor Day weekend: 15’ round Sandy Pit & Bumpy Hill !!
Our Enclosed Paddy-O connects to our Indoor Space, which is open to our Kitchen, and includes Gears, Gadgets and Gizmos Galore, Dress-Ups and Dramatic Play, Cars & Trains, LARGE & Small Blocks, and our Sensory Science Lab! “If we don’t know how, we’ll figure it out!”
I am Marne Parmelee, NYS certified teacher with 23 years full time teaching experience in local districts. “I created the Children’s STEM Garden to provide families with high-quality, hands-on, play-based learning opportunities for their children, in a full-time childcare home setting, with a licensed, experienced teacher. I am the only teacher & will be immersed in play with the children all day!" I have been researching similar PreK programs across the US, Europe & Australia, which have inspired my program. We’re still a busy work in progress, but you’ll get a good idea of what we’re about!" Located on a quiet street in Penfield Village Green East, we have the perfect space for a Nature PreK with Full-Day care
