"would definitely recommend The Boy and His Curse to the teen (or older) that loves a good fantasy story that takes their imagination into a completely different realm." (Joy Capps)
"I really enjoyed the original fantasy elements of the story such as the beasts and the way that children are raised from the earth." (Meg B)
"Teenager Ethan Chester Mioko, born in Korea, lives in Litchfield with his adopted parents and is a student at Happy Oaks High School, but is about the only kid in his class without a driver’s license. During his third driver's exam with Mr. Fasterdly of the Suburban School of Driving, Ethan runs over the cat of an elderly homeless woman, and she gives him a curse of bad luck. With a burning black “X” on his hand, he finds that the world is constantly trying to end his life with falling light poles, vicious dogs, crashing semis, and flooding showers. His parents have disappeared, and an exploding toaster causes a raging fire in his house. Just as he is about to be run over by a school bus, an angel-like personal deaconess named Caitilin Ashberry from the Queendom of Faeria whisks him away to the ancient world of Magi." (Wayne W)
The Boy and His Curse and The Boy and His Crisis are here!
HERE IS THE STORY:

Ethan must race against his dwindling mortality looking for a way to remove the horrible hex on his wellbeing.Caitilin dropped into Ethan's life from the land of Faeria. She, a deaconess of a noble race of faerie people, believes her paradise world holds the cure to the curse. What she doesn't know is that an army of savage trolls just invaded Faeria with plans to exterminate her people. With tragedy lurking around every corner and a powerful enemy ransacking forests, Ethan might not survive the journey.
BUT THE ADVENTURE DOESN'T END THERE:
Book 2, The Boy and His Crisis, finishes the epic war between the Phaenix and the trolls. Will Ethan survive?
