Baby Sign Basics is a one time 2 hour class for adults, who want to teach hearing babies to use ASL signs for pre verbal communication. Expectant parents, grandparents, new parents, professional caregivers and other professionals who work with babies are welcome to attend.
In 2 hours you will learn everything you need to know to successfully teach your baby to use simple ASL signs to communicate with you. You will learn 40+ "baby friendly" ASL signs, but more importantly you will learn helpful strategies and techniques for success. Basically, how, when and why to teach the various signs. The class fee includes an invaluable manual.
The class will be on Monday night Sept. 24, 6:30-8:30 PM. It will be held at Beautiful Birth Choices, 681 Winton Rd. north
Rochester N Y.
The fee is $65 per couple ( couple= 2 adults teaching the same baby). If you have a young non mobile baby who will be reasonably content for the 2 hours you may bring him/her at no cost.
