5 x 7 x Design is a juried, small-works exhibit that showcases the talents of students in grades 6-12 who live in or attend school in Brighton. Postcard-sized works in various media are submitted to the library for judging in the fall. Two works may be submitted by each artist. Work is judged anonymously based on creativity, originality, technique, and composition by a team of art professionals. Prizes are awarded in two divisions: Junior (grades 6-9) and Senior (grades 10-12). The contest is sponsored by the Friends of the Brighton Memorial Library.
