Description
Join us every 2nd Sunday for a lively interactive family storytime for all ages! Families will enjoy bonding together over fun folktales with a message performed by professional storytellers! The event traditionally includes an art project and a lively parade down the Joseph sidewalk to the Lincoln Library where we "Get Lit" with our instruments and positive chants! HOWEVER, during the winter months we are so pleased to announce -- The Adventures of Taleah Story Carnival! At the story carnival, reading and reviewing books gets you tickets to play the carnival games AND PRIZES!!! We hope you will be inspired by 7-year old author Taleah's love of books.
So much fun and totally FREE -- just bring a smile, sense of adventure, warm heart, and your listening ears! Healthy snacks provided through our partnership with Foodlink and the Avenue Children's Theatre Project Healthy Living Initiative.
WINTER ADVENTURES:
- JANUARY 13TH - PAJAMA GLOW PARTY (Pajamas optional but so fun if you choose!)
- FEBRUARY 10TH - FREDERICK DOUGLASS SUPERHERO PARTY (We're making superhero costumes!)
- MARCH 10TH - GIRL POWER & LITTLE LEADERS WOMEN'S HISTORY TRIBUTE (Learn about women who made history & how!)
The Story Carnival will be best enjoyed by up to 25 youth, ages 4-13. If you are planning to attend with friends or make it a play date, please encourage all members of your group to PRE-REGISTER HERE.
