About Rochester Children's Theatre

Rochester Children's Theatre is Rochester's only resident professional children's theatre. Since RCT began in 1991, its mission has been to offer a high quality, cultural experience that entertains while fostering communication, positive values and an awareness of literature to as broad and diverse an audience as possible.

Rochester Children's Theatre accomplishes its mission in three ways:

  • Rochester Children's Theatre is pleased to announce its new performance space at Nazareth College Arts Center located at 4245 East Avenue.

  • RCT offers a two-fold touring program for cultural enrichment and arts education by taking flexibly staged shows "on the road" to schools, libraries, community centers and other organizations. RCT also performs productions at art centers and theaters throughout New York State. Please see our tours page for more information.

  • RCT offers educational programs including a series of theatre workshops and a theater arts summer camp for young children.
