Perinton Park

Location: Route 31F by Canal, Fairport

Perinton Park is the most popular park in the village of Fairport; it's on the part of the Erie Canal that connects the park with the village in a one-mile hypotenuse with 31F and Route 250. It's right on the canal, so duck feeding is popular. (Lots of baby ducks there in late May.) There are tennis courts, a nice playground, and "family swings" that face the canal. While these are a little squeaky, it's a nice change for kids. Easy to walk into town and have an ice cream cone, or across 31F and down a little for Tom Wahl's. Bathroom facilities are available. The playground has a sand base, and there is a nice handicapped-accessible swing.
