Carry this with you and you'll be prepared for any boredom emergency!

    Construction/ Foam paper
    Markers and Crayons (also carry an extra set just for you)
    Coloring Book
    Coloring Dittos
    Scissors
    Glue
    Music; tape/CD
    Play dough & little tools
    Children books/magazines
    Magnets
    Inexpensive gadgets or figurines (cars, horses, people, etc)

And these are indispensible for those little "out and about" emergencies:

    Tylenol (must be where children do not have access)
    Band-Aids
    Ipecac syrup

    Think about what your child's interests are. What are some little gadgets or activity items you could keep in your bag? The purpose of the bag is to have essential items handy at a moment's notice. This way, we are always prepared for what the day might bring us—in our business, one never knows! We nannies are always on our toes.

    Tip: Each week, change some of the gadgets, books and music selections. Doing this will always keep it new for the child. A great resource to find gadgets and art supplies is the Dollar store. Some other fun stores that have inexpensive gadgets are Party City and the Factory Card Outlet Store.
