Join us for our largest event of the year to celebrate the impressive bird migration at the Montezuma Wetlands Complex! There will be something for everyone including live animals, delicious food, great music, games, crafts, shows, and much more!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

There will be something for everyone at the Montezuma Audubon Center’s 11th Annual Wildlife Festivalin Savannah, NY on Saturday, May 6th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. KrittrKris and Feathered Friends, Kindred Kingdoms Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and Dan the Snake Man will deliver animal programs throughout the day featuring owls, hawks, mammals, insects, reptiles and amphibians. Festival goers will be able to get up close to these amazing animals, learn about their wild characteristics, and take a selfie!

Another highlight of the festival will be the Family Theater and Activity Tent where the professional magician and good-natured dean of green, Professor GreenPockets, will perform “The Magic of Being Green,” a fun, family-oriented show that promotes ecology, recycling and the protection of endangered species. Families will also be treated to the Greta Garbage Puppet Show, an entertaining look at the multifaceted topic of garbage. Using stories, puppetry, theatre games, a little bit of magic & refuse humor Greta pulls garbage and audience members on stage for a simple yet thought provoking examination of our environment. Children will also enjoy the huge bounce house, making nature crafts and stained glass art, building a bluebird box, and playing nature games and winning prizes! Wildlife enthusiasts can fish their way to the backyard bass game and then fly over to see the dragons in the pond!

The festival schedule also includes dozens of artisan vendors, a native plant sale, country music from 103.5 FM Big Dog Country, acoustic music from Tom Barnes, delicious food, ice cream and baked goods, dozens of vendors and exhibitors and much more! The cost to attend the festival is $5/person, $20/family. For more information, call 315.365.3588, visit http://ny.audubon.org/montezuma or e-mail montezuma@audubon.org.
