Studio Photography for Teens (Ages 14-17) at the Flower City Arts Center & George Eastman Museum
In this weeklong workshop students will design historical scenes using various toys and materials creating their own interpretation of history and identity. Students will then learn how to photograph their scenes with the White Lightning strobe system and Lowel tungsten lamps in our Lighting Studio. Students will learn to use an exposure meter, soft boxes, umbrellas, and various attachments for multiple lighting set-ups and techniques.
Students will have the unique experience of meeting renowned photographer David Levinthal for an exclusive tour of his exhibition David Levinthal: War, Myth, Desire. Students are invited to bring their own camera (film or digital) to use for this workshop. We will also be providing a variety of cameras for students to use including Digital SLRs, Polaroid, Instax, and more!
