Sodus Bay Junior Sailing Association is a friendly and welcoming summer camp offering instruction for youth on Sodus Bay for over 60 years. Our sailing curriculum is designed to provide all levels of instruction from beginner to advanced.

For advanced Junior Sailors we offer a Travel Race program, which is comprised of two 3-week sessions that will run between June 26 and August 4 for the 2017 season. The Race Team will train weekly and travel to select area interclub regattas either on Tuesday (Laser/420’s) or Wednesdays (Opti’s). The SBJSA Travel Race Team will also compete in a minimum of one major junior regatta in the local region during each session.

During session A, racers will prepare and compete in the Centrals Junior Regatta, hosted by SBJSA and SBYC on Sodus Bay.
During session B, the travel race team will compete in the US Sailing Junior Olympics at Rochester Yacht Club.

The travel team requires parent involvement to travel to away interclub events and regattas.

The Travel Race Team program tuition includes coaching, sailboats, sails, trailers and boat charter fees at the respective regattas. Regatta entry fees are not covered.

Race Session A: June 26 – July 14 Cancelled Due to the High Water
