A hands-on class to engage your child's instinctual curiosity about the natural world around them.
Use binocular, insect nets, magnifying lens and spades to investigate the fauna and flora in the park. Make a tree cross-section necklace; live animals and independent exploration of a natural history collection will be part of the fun.
Instructor: Teresa Stango-Listrani, WXXI's 60 Second Science's on-air scientist.
Location: Veterans' Memorial Park White House, 1600 Jackson Rd., Penfield
Notes: Please dress to be outside. No Crocs, sandals, or open-toed shoes, please.
