Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger 5K Run/Walk

The purpose of this race will continue to focus on bringing awareness and providing tangible solutions to the issue of hunger in our community, as well as continuing the tradition of promoting exercise and family-centered events in our town. The 2018, 2019, and 2020 races raised $3,300, $5,500, and $7,000 respectively, and also allowed for RHAFT to collect hundreds of non-perishable food items. Race proceeds have directly impacted our local community by helping to fund the 2018 Rush-Henrietta Central School District (RHCSD) Kicking Hunger Summer Food Program, as well as providing support for community food and student-centered programs through both RHAFT and the RHCSD during the 2019 summer months. Current proceeds are being used to support the RHCSD Backpack Program which provides food to local families on a weekly basis. 2020 race proceeds are currently being used to fund the establishment and future maintenance of the Kicking Hunger Food Pantry in the Good Shepherd Building on East Henrietta Road.
