Western New York's incredible annual one-day children's book festival is held in November each year at Monroe Community College. This festival attracts prominent children's authors from around the US.

The Rochester Children’s Book Festival is presented by Lift Bridge Book Shop, in affiliation with Monroe Community College, 292-Baby, and Rundel Library Foundation. KidsOutAndAbout.com is an annual media sponsor.

Our mission is to promote reading to and by children, benefit Monroe County libraries, and forge connections between the community and children’s authors and illustrators.

The festival is a magical day packed with activities, presentations, and meeting those who write and illustrate children’s books. Make free crafts in Busy Bookworm, enjoy author and illustrator presentations in the Brighton Room and in Excellus Presentation Place, and listen as stories are read by your favorite authors and illustrators in Read To Me Corner.

Rochester Area Childrens’ Writers and Illustrators is a group of local authors and illustrators.

Festival admission and parking are free, thanks to our generous sponsors. The festival could not happen without them or without our faithful volunteers and coordinators.
