The creators of Feet Don’t Fail Me Now! return to the Arts Center with festive originals and Christmas classics, including a wildly imaginative beatbox rendition of “The Grinch,” a full-cast performance of “Linus and Lucy,” and a mashup in which dancers and musicians dressed as toy soldiers perform a syncopated sequence at eye-popping speeds.
With their joyous music and percussive tap, it’s easy to see why this wildly creative troupe—led by artistic director Ricci Milan and executive director Nick Bowman—has had audiences from the Kennedy Center to the Edinburgh Festival jumping out of their seats. Now an international sensation, the company’s brilliance is proven by rave reviews, sold-out high-octane performances, and numerous awards—including two Sage Awards for Outstanding Ensemble and Performance, the Spirit of the Fringe Award (the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s top theatrical award), two Upper Midwest Emmys, and more!
No holiday season is complete without these percussive hoofers, along with their trunk full of tap shoes, human beatbox, and seven-piece funk band.
