Start your engine and zip through the evolution of driving games, beginning with the electromechanical Motorcycle (1974), all the way through arcade classics such as Pole Position 2 (1983), Out Run (1987), Cruisn’ USA (1994), and Mario Kart GP 2 (2007). Also, see rare artifacts from The Strong’s collections, including early racing board games and the once controversial Death Race (1974). An original exhibit produced by The Strong’s International Center for the History of Electronic Games. (While several of the games and activities in Racers: The Thrill of Driving Games can be played freely, some may require purchased tokens. Money collected from the sale of tokens helps maintain these original artifacts.)
