Some compound words are easy to understand: a firefly, for example, looks like a tiny flying fire! Some compound words – like birdbrain, hotdog, or rat race – take a greater stretch of the imagination. Very few words are actually used in this production. Instead, movement and expression are the primary communicators. Silly, energetic, and yet somehow profound, this creative show features characters created by five performers from Rochester’s award-winning PUSH Physical Theatre. Learning the rules of language is not an easy journey, but it can be a fun one! Busy Bodies encourages joy in learning and humor in our misunderstandings. Suggested ages: 3 and above.
