Spotlight Studios for the Performing Arts announces the auditions for the annual Holiday Production of "It's A Wonderful Life"
Come celebrate the holidays and theater! Spotlight Studios proudly presents the play, "It's A Wonderful Life," based on the film of the same name. This year Spotlight is teaming up with First Baptist Church of Fairport with help from the Fairport Partnership to create a production unlike any that Fairport has seen in years!
The First Baptist Church of Fairport has opened its doors to the performers of Spotlight to have the production in their beautiful sanctuary. In return Spotlight is donating all of the proceeds from this fund-raising production to the church's Save the Steeple fund to help repair the village icon.
Spotlight Studios is excited about the opportunity this provides to its young actors and actresses to try out their talents in a much larger performance space than usual. Past productions of "It's A Wonderful Life" have been in Spotlight's small 100-seat theatre, limiting the audience to just friends and family. Now the entire community can experience the heart-warming story of George Bailey. Spotlight feels it is a fitting production to have at the First Baptist Church of Fairport but also in a village that has the same supportive and caring feeling as Bedford Falls!
This production is being performed by some of the brightest and talented 8-18 year olds in the area!
Performances will be held at The First Baptist Church of Fairport
Friday December 19 at 7:30pm
Saturday December 20 at 7:30pm
Sunday December 21 at 2:00pm

DESCRIPTION:
It's a Wonderful Life is the heart-warming saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been repeatedly quashed by notions of family obligation and civic duty. This sparkling and magical play has all of your favorite characters: George and Mary, Mother Bailey, Uncle Billy, Violet and of course, the Scrooge-like villain Mr. Potter. It's a Wonderful Life not only celebrates the season, it also celebrates the American philosophy of life: that hard work, fair play, and the love and support of family and community will be rewarded.
