The intent of these meetings is to provide interested parents with an overview of our academic program, support services, and the types of students we serve. A school tour is also given. Contact Julie at 585-334-8010 ext. 302 or jmurray@normanhoward.org to register. If this date is not convenient, please contact Julie to arrange a personal tour.
Founded in 1980, The Norman Howard School (NHS) is an independent co-educational day school that offers a small, structured and supportive learning environment with full access to the general education curriculum.
Our setting provides a quality education program for students with special learning needs in grades 5 – 12, including those with classifications of Learning Disability, Other Health Impairment, Speech/Language Impairment, or Autism. Candidates for admission benefit from an academic program and do not require significant behavioral and/or communication interventions. NHS is a New York State Education Department approved special education program and is accredited by the New York Association of Independent Schools.
