Immerse yourself in the unique history and science of the Genesee River. Join Zoo staff and docents for Native American cultural exhibits and festivities featuring the Ganondagan State Historic Site.

Immerse yourself in the unique history and science of the Genesee River. Join Zoo staff and docents for Native American cultural exhibits and festivities featuring the Ganondagan State Historic Site. Learn about the importance of the Genesee River and how it helped shape local Native American communities. Be inspired by your Zoo’s conservation efforts with river Otters and lake sturgeon in the Genesee. Find out how you can help with these efforts and what it takes to get involved as a citizen scientist through our One Cubic Foot initiative.

Guests of all ages can enjoy interactive workshops with the Monroe County Stormwater Coalition, the Center for Environmental Initiatives, and more.
