Schumann's wanderlust leads from the rustic German countryside to the awe-inspiring heights of the Cologne Cathedral in this enchanting symphony panorama, inspired by the beauty of the Rhineland. The RPO's bass trombinist is spotlighted in a concerto by Eastman School of Music aulmnus Eric Ewazen. The program kicks off with the intimate grace of one of Mozart's greatest early sympohonies, written when the compser was just 18 years old.
