Mothers Day Trolley Rides

The New York Museum of Transportation offers the only authentic vintage trolley ride in New York State. The 2017 ride season gets underway on Mothers Day, May 14, and to honor these important women in our lives, mothers and grandmothers will enjoy free admission and trolley rides when accompanied by youth(s) age 3 - 12. The 20-minute ride on the 90-year-old electric trolley car provides a scenic cruise past woods and open fields, recalling a time a century ago when interurban trolleys carried area residents to places as far away as Buffalo, Syracuse and Geneva. RIdes depart every 30 minutes, starting at 11:30 a.m.
But there's much more to enjoy at the museum! a large model railroad runs several trains at once, and a collection of trolley cars is on exhibit. A steam locomotive, fire engine, and several horse-drawn vehicles are surrounded by photo exhibits and smaller artifacts relating to area transportation history. A well-stocked gift shop serves the needs of children and adults with souvenirs, toys and books for all ages.
