This class will cover such exciting topics as when to sign or not to sign a contract, dealing with editors and how much to realistically charge for your work depending on the client! You will learn how to collaborate with other creative professionals

-In this class we'll learn the basics of surviving as a creative professional in the modern world of publishing. It will cover such exciting topics as when to sign or not to sign a contract, dealing with editors and how much to realistically charge for your work depending on the client! You will also learn how to collaborate with other creative professionals. Above all, you will come out of the class knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that your time is worth monetary compensation and that when you get paid for you work you're automatically getting exposure. Students are encouraged to bring either a laptop or notepad with them.
