Are you interested in learning the in’s and out’s of theatrical light design? The Lighting Design Workshop is a series of three classes that will provide the basis for designing the lighting at Stages Theater. Students will identify several common scene lighting needs and experiment with placement and focus of fixtures. They will explore ways to best evoke the intended audience reaction, feeling and expectation. The culmination of the class will be to create specific designs needed for the upcoming Stages play, Witness for the Prosecution. The knowledge acquired and skills learned will be beneficial to students interested in working in the area of light design for our summer and/or seasons shows.
