Intro to Video Journalism Part 1: Camera Equipment and Exposure

This class will be a basic intro to video journalism. The class will go over exposure techniques (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) and cover the equipment in making short documentaries. Participants are asked to bring their camera, no matter the kind.

This class will be a basic introduction to video journalism. The class will go over exposure techniques (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) and cover the equipment useful in making short documentaries. It will also demonstrate that you don't need much to get started! He worked as a member of Americorps for city recreation, got to know the city and combined his interest for filmmaking with his passion for the community. Alex films and edits a variety of documentaries under the name Studio 73 Productions, and prefers to focus on journalistic style shorts. (vimeo.com/studio73productions). He also films and edits the web series Slow Road (slowroadtravel.com). This past year Alex was commissioned to produce a documentary for the Greentopia film festival, and recently filmed the 2015 Jazz Festival.
