Identity Through Animal Tracking Workshop with John Stokes
Saturday, June 11, 9AM-4PM
Come and experience this very special, full day workshop at Ganondagan led by celebrated animal tracker, John Stokes. Come ready to participate in interactive presentations, inquiry- based activities and storytelling. Primarily, the workshop will focus on natural and cultural awareness, including a wide range of skills from traditional tracking and survivor skills to storytelling and peacemaking. Stokes, the founder & director of The Tracking Project in Corrales, New Mexico, is a well-known writer, master teacher of animal tracking and survival skills. Since 1980, he has worked and traveled globally in his efforts to bring awareness of the natural world and share traditional teachings of indigenous peoples.
This workshop is ideal for hikers, hunters, outdoor enthusiasts and those interested in learning about the human connection to the natural world through nature and indigenous values and is appropriate for ages 12 and older.
Admission is $75/general public; $60/members of Friends of Ganondagan
