The Sixth Annual 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is coming to Rochester! Each year, hundreds of kids filmmaking groups enter their short films that portray the entire story of a Newbery-award-winning book in only 90 seconds! Festival originator / children's book author James Kennedy is teaming up with local author Charles Benoit (Snow Job). for a FREE event that is sure to get kids excited about reading, film, technology, acting, thinking, and COMEDY. Tickets are free, but you MUST pre-register at the link provided.

Welcome to the sixth annual 90-Second Newbery Film Festivala yearly video contest in which kid filmmakers create movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds. We screen the best movies annually in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Portland, San Antonioand Rochester!

Make your FREE reservation to the ROCHESTER screening of this year's 90-Second Newbery! The screening is hosted by film festival founder and children's author James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish) and local author Charles Benoit (Snow Job). This event sold out last year, adn will this year, so please do not register and then not attend, as you would prevent someone else from attending. But DO secure your free tickets if you plan to attend!

The movies we've received are hilarious, ingenious, and inspiring. We'll be showing movies created by kids in the Rochester area and from around the country!

This year, the Rochester 90-Second Newbery will screen on Sunday, March 19, from 2-4 pm at the Dryden Theater at the George Eastman Museum.

Tickets are free! However, theater space is limited, so you must reserve your seat in advance to ensure admittance
