Celebrate his enduring wisdom and legacy to our city and nation through this Bicentennial observance, featuring Douglass re-enactor, Dr. David Anderson, a moving recitation of a Douglass oration by students from RCSD School #12, and the full Oratorio Society chorus and African percussion ensemble in the Emancipation Oratorio, by nationally-renowned, Glenn McClure, ComposerKearstin Piper Brown stars in this compelling setting of texts by Douglass and other Abolitionist leaders and contemporary slave narratives, commissioned and premiered by the ROS in 2012. Visit Rochester Visit Finger Lakes ROC Artists/Arts Organizations Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester William Warfield Scholarship Fund
