Is October your favorite month? Does the macabre and morbid pique your interest? Ravens, vampires, zombies, suspense, and haunted houses are often associated with horror but where did these motifs come from? Share with the class your favorite horror story then dissect and examine its themes and elements before writing your own! We will look at prolific gothic and horror writers like Shirley Jackson, Mary Shelley, and Edgar Allan Poe. An anthology will be made at the end of the week with everyone’s stories.
