Allow your heart to be moved by powerful photos of foster children who wait to be adopted in this year’s Heart Gallery display. We invite you to learn more about foster child adoption and hear Psychologist, Author and Adoptive Parent, Dr. Michael Bradley offer tried-and-true strategies to meet the needs of our teens. Free to the public, this is a family-friendly event to increase awareness of the need for adoptive homes for older children.

We hope you will join us for this special event to help find homes for children who have waited the longest for safe and loving, adoptive families.

About Dr. Bradley: Dr. Michael J. Bradley is a practicing adolescent psychologist, an award-winning author, and an adoptive parent of a child from the foster care system. Dr. Bradley gives parents real-world advice, strategies, and methods they can put to use to achieve immediate results.  He takes you inside your teenager’s head and shows you why teens think and behave the way they do.  He shows you how to restore lines of communication, transform relations with your teen, and make your family whole again. As the father of a teenaged son and daughter, Dr. Bradley has the in-the-trenches experience that can only come from parenthood. Professionally, he’s worked with students, parents, and teachers for 30 years. Dr. Michael Bradley is an award-winning author of teen parenting books that offer the training and skills to transform 21st century teens into strong, confident, productive adults, including: “Yes, Your Teen Is Crazy!”,
“Yes, Your Parents are Crazy”, “When Things Get Crazy with Your Teen” and “The Heart & Soul of the Next Generation”.

About the Heart Gallery: The Heart Gallery is a national movement that showcases artistic portraits of children currently in foster care and available for adoption. The professional photos are taken by local photographers who volunteer their time to capture waiting children’s unique personalities. Children in foster care do not often have the opportunity to receive quality photographs. The beautiful Heart Gallery photos allow families interested in adoption to get a glimpse of who they are. CAP's first Heart Gallery was held in December, 2005. Nearly 25% of the featured in the first exhibit have joined their forever families!  The gallery opens in November for National Adoption Month, allowing thousands of families to view the children’s portraits and generate awareness about the need for permanent adoptive homes for older foster youth.
