The Challenger Learning Center of Greater Rochester was created to inspire students' interest in science and math. When students fly their Mission to Mars, not only do they have fun, but they also exercise the development of their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) process skills by completing curriculum-based activities aligned with New York State Learning Standards. Every single student is 100% engaged in a truly state of the art facility that incorporates hands-on science activities that help improve problem-solving skills and enhance creative and critical-thinking abilities.

Space shuttle simulations and missions to Mars!

The Challenger Center gives students an opportunity to use Math, Science, and Technology in an authentic learning environment. Our state of the art facility makes science and math fun and inspirational for youngsters by giving them a chance to explore careers related to Math, Science, and Technology. Every student can be successful at Challenger – it is terrific for building self-esteem and confidence. Students work cooperatively to solve problems and tasks which are based on the New York State Assessments in Science. By tying into current events and using the newest educational technology, Challenger strives to have a positive impact on student learning.
