Camp Hunt is a Christian summer camp for youth, ages 8 to 18, perched on a ridge above the village of Hamilton in the rolling hills and woods of central New York State. Founded in 1947 and celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017, Camp Hunt is the longest active Christian youth camp in the United States. It is organized by members of the Churches of Christ across central New York, and it is staffed in the summer by directors, counselors, and volunteers from all over the country.

Camp Hunt is the place "Where Friendships Begin!" Campers enjoy a rich range of experiences together. Archery, crafts, and hiking. Silly songs and skits. Sleeping in cabins and camping out at Flat Rock. Banquets in the mess hall and hot dogs roasts over the fire. Swimming, mud soccer, and heroic games of capture the flag. Worship under the stars. Bible study and prayer with friends. All these help campers make lifelong friendships and find a stronger sense of themselves as God's children.

Camp follows a very full and structured schedule. Reveille sounds at 7 AM and everyone has an hour to dress and clean the cabin before meeting around the flagpole for a brief devotional before breakfast. The rest of the morning schedule includes Bible class, recreation and a singing period.

Lunch is at noon, followed by a rest period, and then separate boys and girls swimming, crafts and recreation periods. A canteen (snack) period occurs in the middle of those activities and a second Bible class period takes place before supper.

After supper, the evening activities vary depending on the day of the week. Every evening there is some kind of recreation. Every other evening there is a devotional on the hill. Every night there is another canteen period, and the night ends with a campfire. The campfires alternate between spiritual and silly campfires. Both kinds of campfire periods include singing and skits. Most nights end with a brief cabin devotional. Some nights have late night parties or night swims. Taps sounds around 9:30 PM.

The rules for acceptance and participation in Camp Hunt's programs are the same for everyone regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin. Camp Hunt is licensed and monitored regularly by the Madison County Department of Health.
