The Festival is a 4-day event that celebrates Buffalo’s rich nautical history. The Festival begins with the arrival of of two majestic tall ships, the Lynx and Peacemaker, which serve as centerpieces to 3 days of events, shows and activities.

Highlights include guided tours and hands-on demonstrations with the tallships, as well as rowboat rentals, shows, walking tours and re-enactments, concerts, food, a beer tent, and more.

Four things to know to attend the Buffalo Maritime Festival:

1.Canalside is located in Downtown Buffalo, adjacent to the First Niagara Center. Directions  can be found here.

2.On Saturday September 14 ONLY, the Canalside streets will be closed to car traffic, however a free shuttle service will be available from 10 am-6 pm (Saturday only) to shuttle visitors from the First Niagara Center Parking lots (Perry & Mississippi Sts.) to Canalside and back.

3.On Friday & Sunday, a limited number of street parking spaces will be available at Canalside. However, there is plenty of parking within a 2-3 block radius! A parking map can be found here.
