Plot is important, but characters are even more vital to our stories. We’ll begin by identifying how writers assemble their characters from foundation to final details. We’ll study examples from favorite stories and media then distill them down to the “what” of a character that makes them so beloved. We’ll pay close attention to people’s real interests and habits, slang, the flaws that make them unique, and memorable moments in their pasts. Through fun and interactive discussions on body language, facial expression, motivations, and resolutions, you’ll create and develop new characters or refine those you’ve already put on the page.
