Animals of the RPD!

Did you know animals are an important part of keeping our community safe? Come meet the animals of the Rochester Police Department and learn how they help their human partners do their job!

Did you know animals are an important part of keeping our community safe?  Come meet the animals of the Rochester Police Department and learn how they help their human partners do their job!

Duncan, a horse from the mounted patrol, and Sully, a bomb sniffing dog, will be on site.  Their officers will discuss training, a typical day, as well as a demonstrations and questions and answers. 

Duncan will be in the Doris Carlson Reading Garden from 11 am to noon.  Sully’s demonstration will be in the Kate Gleason Auditorium from noon to 1pm.  If you are apprehensive around dogs please know Sully will be restrained on a leash.
