Two spectacular days on the Erie Canal! Explore adaptive and standard kayaking and cycling options available for you and your family and friends at Erie Canal Boat Company to be able to access the canalway whenever the business is open! (which is 7 days a week throughout the summer!)
Saturday and Sunday, June 16 & 17, 10:00AM - 2:00PM
Drop In! FREE!
In a Community Health Inclusion partnership with Rochester Accessible Adventures, Erie Canal Boat Company owner, Peter Abele, and his staff are participating in establishing best practices for sustainable inclusive operation! We'd love to show you how it operates!
This is a drop-in event that you and your family and friends can attend together, take your time to explore your options, and actually get on the bikes and in the kayaks in give it a try. (This isn't for LONG trips, just short trials so you can see how it works for when you want to come back and stay on the Canal a while!)
This is a great event for families with children ages 6+. Depending on the size of the child, both kayaking and cycling may be options, with kayaking being the most easily fitted for a child to access. (We currently have a couple smaller adaptive cycles and do not have child-sized standard cycles.)
