16th Annual Rochester Children's Book Festival at MCC November 10, 2012

Come celebrate the 16th Annual Rochester Children’s Book Festival, recipient of Writers & Books’ Big Pencil Award for 2011!
Please join us on Saturday, November 10th, 2012, from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM in the Flynn Campus Center at Monroe Community College.
This will be a magical day packed with activities, presentations, and meeting those who write and illustrate books for children, tweens and teens. Busy Bookworm offers craft activities; author and illustrator presentations take place in both the Brighton Room and in Excellus Presentation Place; and your favorite authors and illustrators read stories in Genesee Valley Parent Magazine’s Read to Me Corner. In the Mall, chat with our more than 40 Festival participants.
The Festival is pleased to welcome first-timers Paul Acampora, Peter Catalanotto, Sheela Chari, Diane Kredensor, Matt Phelan and Lisa Wheeler. Returning authors include MJ and Herm Auch, Julie Berry, Bruce Coville, Cynthia DeFelice, James Howe, Steven Kellogg, Michelle Knudsen, Jeff Mack, Kate Messner, Mark Siegel , Mark Teague, and Jane Yolen.
Presenting Sponsor Rochester Area Children’s Writers and Illustrators is a group of local authors and illustrators. Members of that group who will once again be part of our festival include Marsha Hayles, Will Hubbell, Linda Sue Park, Robin Pulver, Peggy Thomas, Vivian Vande Velde, and Ellen Stoll Walsh.
Food is available for purchase in the food court. Festival admission and parking are free, thanks to our generous sponsors. The festival could not happen without them or without our faithful volunteers (more than 100!) and coordinators Herm Auch, Sarah Mead, Vicki Schultz, and Barbara Underhill.
