2022 Riedman Foundation Trout Derby

The derby takes place in Powder Mills Park. The park is located in the southernmost portion of Monroe County. Enter the park from Route 96, south of Bushnell’s Basin near Interstate 490. Powder Horn Lodge serves as derby headquarters.
Following the final weigh-in at Powder Horn Lodge (Derby headquarters) at noon, prizes will be awarded in several age categories, including youth, featuring the prestigious Bank of America $500 Angler Award for largest brown trout caught. Other prizes will include:
– Professional rods & reels;
– Private fishing charter & boat rentals;
– Fishing apparel & accessories; gift cards and more
Due to the COVID pandemic, new rules and regulations are being put in place (please see complete list at end of registration). For everyone’s safety, masks will be required when occupying Powder Horn Lodge. We ask that you enter the lodge, with proper face covering, to have fish weighed or when purchasing any beverages, food, merchandise or raffle tickets in the lodge. We ask that you exit the building through the designated exit immediately upon registering your fish or making any purchases.
The derby will be conducted in accordance with State law: participants 16 years and older must have a valid fishing permit, trout must be 9″ or longer, and only three fish per person may be kept. The tournament will not be canceled or rescheduled due to weather conditions. No refunds will be allowed.
