This group is designed for children with a limited food repertoire. Children participate in activities that focus on nutrition, exercise and exposure to healthful foods. A parent component includes discussion of strategies for dealing with the sensory and behavioral aspects of the picky eater and provides an open forum in which to share nutrition information and meal ideas. This class meets for one time per week for 90 minutes in a 6 week session. It is most appropriate for children who are ages 3 to 5 years and who enjoy playing and learning in a social group environment. The class is led by an occupational therapist or a special education teacher. The next session begins the week of October 23. Please call or email for specific days and times. Infant Massage

In this four week class, parents will learn basic massage techniques to promote relaxation, enhance communication and bonding and stimulate their child's physical and emotional growth. Participants are asked to bring receiving blankets, pillows, and massage oil. The class meets once a week for 60 minutes and is appropriate for babies ages 6 to 12 months and their parents. Classes are led by a physical or occupational therapist. Please call or email for specific days and times. Cost of the class: $60.00

Children ages 4 to 6 years participate in Yoga, Pilates, and creative dance movements that enhance their ability to gain control and mastery of their bodies. Group focus will also be on developing hand-eye coordination and visual problem-solving skills, in combination with physical skills, and mental agility to enhance the ability to make quick and accurate decisions with their minds and bodies. This 6 week class meets one time per week for 90 minutes and is led by a physical or occupational therapist. The next session starts the week of October 23. This 7 week program offers school age children 5-12 the opportunity to understand and learn the basics of physical fitness. Certified Staff will instruct and educate all students in cardiovascular exercise, stretching, flexibility and weight/circuit training. They offer a 20 yard lap pool, full court gymnasium, complete cardio/circuit training and locker room/shower facilities. Their main goal is for students to learn and develop a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on physical fitness. •For Fall 2006, classes start the week of September 12th; they meet 1 hour per week for the 7 weeks. Three different sessions are offered for the cost of $49 per session.

    Reiki for Children: Classes are four sessions of 2 hours each
    Reiki is a complete system of holistic, natural healing. It is a primal and basic form of healing, and everybody has the ability to perform Reiki healing once learned. It is ideal for children because in the process of learning Reiki, they learn about their bodies, their inner spirit, their personal power and their connection to the universal Life force which surrounds us all and is universal love.

    Ski/snowboard club at Bristol Mountain on six Fridays in January and February with two makeup days in March. Skiing from 9AM to 3PM. Lessons begin at 9:30AM. Anyone from age 8 and up can participate. Call for more information if you have a child seven or under who wants to ski. This is not a drop-off activity; each child must have an adult with them either skiing or hanging out in the lodge. The six-week passes (approx $150) include the lift tickets and lessons. Those who buy season passes can purchase a four-pack of lesson passes (for kids only). Call or email for a registration form. If you would like to participate, the form and a check must be returned to Mary Joan by mid October.
