Wegmans Culinary Camps Teen Camp II: Is your Teen ready to try new dishes with their new learned skills from Teen Camp I? Refresh their learnings with brand new dishes as we delve further into cooking fundamentals. Second-time campers will further perfect techniques by grilling new cuts of meat, rolling sushi, exploring the use of new tools like a mandolin and plate presentation techniques. For their graduation party, the students will put their new culinary skills to work by planning and executing all the food for the event. Teens (ages 12-18). Pre-requisite: Teen Camp I. 9am – 3pm. Writers & Cooks Sail the Seven Seas Summer Camp Community Arts Academy 597 East Ave, Rochester NY 14607 585-473-7187 MaryAnn Hamilton, comarts@frontiernet.net Sail the Seven Seas Summer Camp offers a diverse and inclusive cultural experience for children who have completed kindergarten -grade 6 (6-12 years old.) The camp explores six different regions of the world ( a different country each week) through music, dance, drama, art projects, food and literature. Each child receives their own passport. Monday through Thursday mornings of each week children learn a song, dance and dramatize folk tales from that country. These sessions are led by experienced specialized teachers. Special guests introduce their county and guest artists also demonstrate native musical instruments. On Friday, the group performs for a senior citizen group or nursing home, enjoys a picnic lunch and then departs for a field trip adventure which connects with the country of the week. Afternoon activities involve swimming on Monday and Wednesdays, creating art projects on Tuesdays and cooking on Thursdays. Before and after care is also available. $125 per week + $25 for extended day.
